All Saints Catholic Academy

The reason for this letter is to share with you the change in the administration of All Saints Catholic Academy taking place in our next school year.

Jim Burns, our principal, will be retiring at the end of this 2019-20 school year. Jim has served for eight years as principal at St. Peter Cathedral School and another year as principal at our new All Saints Catholic Academy. I have been blessed to work with him for six of those years. Jim has served the Church and our children very well with his expertise and leadership through all this time. It has been a pleasure to work with him. Jim also did great work in preparing for and helping to plan the consolidation of our schools into All Saints Catholic Academy. I am especially glad that he was able to help see us through this first year of the Academy's operation.

As Jim steps down from his position, Renee Payne will serve as Principal of All Saints Catholic Academy. Her new position will include the responsibilities now being covered by the two separate roles. The evolving discussion of the leadership roles, Jim's retirement, and the present pandemic with its anticipated effects on our enrollment all influenced this decision. Renee's new position will include the responsibilities now being covered by the two presently separate roles of Principal and Head of School. As the Executive Pastor of our academy, I give Renee all my support.

I am sure that Jim could continue to be a valuable leader in our academy if he stayed on, but I respect his desire to have the freedom to enjoy with his wife Deb the time to relax, travel and do many of the things they've been wanting to do together. We wish him many years to enjoy life and travels.

Very Rev. Stephen St. Jules
