Spiritual Communion

 A Spiritual Communion

Beloved Jesus, deliver us from this pandemic, which is separating all members of society, including families, friends, and our church family. This separation is keeping many of us from receiving you in the Holy Eucharist.

Until we are all rejoined around Your altar, please unite us to Yourself as we make this spiritual communion:

Lord Jesus, I believe You are fully present in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the altar.

I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.

Since I cannot now receive You in this precious gift of the Eucharist, I ask You to come spiritually into my heart and soul. I embrace You and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated form You.

Grant that we may soon, once again receive You in this Holy Sacrament when we can come together as Your family, celebrating with deep faith and gratitude, the mysteries of our salvation which You won for us.

Amen.
